Named after the iconic long, tough and steep climb in the Lakes, the Kirkstone wheels are what you need if you really want to give it some. They’re light enough to race well, strong enough to go far and wide, even under heavier riders, and they handle amazingly. They’re also tubeless-ready, making them a great choice for cyclocross!

They’re built up on Shimano’s top of the range Dura Ace 9000 which are good, durable very lightweight hubs, and Pacenti’s wide and stiff SL23 rims, giving the Kirkstone wheelset superb handling. They are laced with a 24-spoke radial front and 28-spoke 2-cross rear pattern for a strong build with lightweight Sapim CX-Ray spokes.

A set of strong, light Kirkstone wheels comes in at just under £750, and weigh around 1500g.
